Fingerprint scanners are now a standard for high end smartphones. With every new release, a fingerprint scanner is almost a guaranteed part of the package. The question is no longer whether a smartphone will have a scanner or not, but a question of where the scanner is going to be placed. Samsung and Apple’s flagships both have their scanners placed in the front. Huawei and many other Chinese manufacturers have the scanner on the back.

I personally prefer the fingerprint scanner on the back. It feels natural because my index finger just so happens to be in range of the scanner. That’s just my opinion. What do you guys think? Should the scanner be in the front or the back? Or maybe someplace else?
